The upcoming Call of Duty game will use Samsung's HDR10+ GAMING format for a more immersive gaming experience. Activision and Samsung have announced a wide-ranging partnership to improve the gameplay experience of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 across Samsung TVs, monitors, soundbars, and Wi-Fi speakers.

Under this collaboration, Samsung is the official TV, monitor, soundbar, and Wi-Fi speaker partner for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which is scheduled to launch on October 23, 2026.

With HDR10+ GAMING, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will deliver more accurate colors, precise contrast, and dynamic brightness tailored to the developers' creative intent. The upcoming first-person shooter also natively supports a 32:9 super ultrawide aspect ratio, allowing gamers on monitors like the Samsung Odyssey G9 to enjoy an expanded field of view.

Ahead of the game's official release, the Call of Duty: NEXT showcase will stream live via Samsung Gaming Hub on August 21, 2026, at 9:00 AM PST. A dedicated tune-in banner will be featured on the Samsung TV Gaming Hub masthead.

To promote the title, Samsung will distribute Early Access Beta codes through the Samsung Promotion app and Samsung TV Gaming Hub.

  • Early Access Beta: August 21 to August 25, 2026
  • Open Beta: August 28 to September 1, 2026

Additionally, visitors to Samsung's booth at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany (August 26 to August 30, 2026) can play an early hands-on preview of Modern Warfare 4 on premium Odyssey gaming monitors. Select booth visitors will also receive Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Vault Edition codes for Battle.net.
